Last year, the commerce bureau of Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province, undertook a raft of measures to boost the development of commercial trading enterprises above a designated size and foreign trade enterprises with performance.

By the end of 2022, there were 3,232 commercial trading enterprises above a designated size in Xi'an, up 379 on the previous year. There were 3,049 foreign trade companies with performance, up by 144.

Last year, the bureau introduced a series of support policies, designed to encourage enterprises to optimize their structure and expand the scale of their operations. It also implemented initiatives to boost the number and quality of companies above a designated size in the city.

In addition, the bureau strengthened its support of and guarantees to foreign trade enterprises – in terms of their transformation and upgrading, development of international markets, development of bonded logistics, the processing trade, cross-border e-commerce and policy coverage.
