To jointly build the Belt and Road, we need to enhance mutual learning among civilizations and let our respective cultures develop hand in hand.  In Uzbekistan, the Sino-Uzbek joint archaeological team discovered sites such as Sazakan and Rabat. In Cambodia, the Chinese team participated in the restoration of Angkor Wat and restored the Choo Sa Temple and Cha Cha Cha Temple. Over the past decade since the Belt and Road Initiative was proposed, cultural exchanges and cooperation between co-built countries have continued to expand and deepen. More and more Chinese archaeologists have gone abroad to carry out archaeological research and relic restoration together with foreign experts, writing stories of cultural exchanges and people-to-people exchanges along the Belt and Road.

共建“一带一路”，要增进文明互鉴，让各自的文化携手发展。习近平十分重视“一带一路”文化保护与研究工作，在他的大力推动下，中外联合考古不断推进。在乌兹别克斯坦，中乌联合考古队发现了撒扎干、拉巴特等遗址；在柬埔寨，中国工作队参与吴哥窟古迹修复工作，修复了周萨神庙和茶胶寺等古迹。“一带一路”倡议提出十年来，共建国家之间的文化交流合作不断拓展深化，越来越多的中国考古工作者走出国门，与国外专家一起开展考古研究、遗迹修复，书写“一带一路”文化交流、民心相通的故事。
