我们迎来了夏日的第三个节气

Grain in ear

——芒种

At this time, the plums are ripe, the apricots are plump and the wheat is turning yellow

此时,青梅成熟,杏肥麦黄

It is still an ideal time for autumn grain sowing

还是秋粮播种的佳期

On the fields and in the countryside, the hardworking farmers are busy

田间地头,忙碌的农人们

Enjoying the joy of harvest

享受着丰收的喜悦

And sowed the seeds of hope once again

又播散下希望的种子


The three signs of the Grain in ear: 1. The mantis emerges; 2. The cuckoo begins to chirp; 3. The oriole becomes silent.

芒种三候:一候螳螂生,二候鵙(jú)始鸣,三候反舌无声。


The mantis emerges from its shell

螳螂破壳而出

Birds fly back and forth through the forest

鸟儿穿梭山林

The chirping sounds echoed through the mountains

鸣叫声在山间回荡

Greeting the hot summer all the time

和盛夏不停打着招呼

一收一种
